Good authentic ramen at reasonable prices. Japanese draft beer at unreasonable prices.

I am not a fan of Japanese cuisines other than the sashimi. Yet, this restaurant gave me a very good experience from customer service to satisfying my tastebuds. Let's start with the ambience, as you enter you will go through a sliding door that keeps the cool from escaping. Table settings of fours with a dark brown ambience that gives off a secludedness in a busy shopping mall. They have outdoor seats to accommodate those who prefers our weather. (Yes people, there are people who love our weather) Then came the ordering part. They have a selection of meals that you can pick the Ramen's softness and whether to add in the Onsen Egg. We ordered the original as the our waiter recommended us to try it with an addition of minced garlic to further improve the originally tasty soup. The garlic is definitely an additional flavor that gives the soup a stronger smell and complements the meal as a whole. Besides that he also recommended the pork belly wrapped in "man tao" (bun). Something that I had only tried in Chinese restaurants. The bun is served wrapped around the pork like a sandwich with a slice of lettuce. The pork was braised perfectly as it is soft but not mushy.the flavoring of soy sauce definitely complements the bun that had a little sauce on it. Meal cost? Sorry guys I don't know as the lunch was bought by my beloved god mom. I believe the ramen ranges from around RM20 to close to RM40 I would recommend a try of the original with fresh garlic.

Whenever I hear "Japanese food" I think of sushi or sashimi. Which makes sense since I love both.nIt wasn't until recently that I found out about Ramen. This restaurant specializes in just that. Their menu offers different types of Ramen and a few other delicacies such as pork buns. Unfortunately for me I went after lunch time and missed out on their lunch menu, which is quite a good deal. Ever since I've tried the noodles at this place, I've been disappointed at the ones I've tried anywhere else. If you are a fan of Ramen I recommend stopping by this restaurant.

Before I first visited Ippudo, I was sceptical because the ramen here is more expensive than any other ramen shop. But I love ramen, and I will do anything for ramen. Busted my bank I did. And boy was it good. The signature ramen was creamy, rich and those noodles (which I like to order hard) were amazing. I also like the Momofuku-style pork bun which comes with a sweet hoisin sauce. The difference between Ippudo and many other ramen places is that it's more modern and stylish. So you won't feel stuffy and hot while sipping noodles, and they even have cocktails if you do.

Ippudo Ramen opened about a year ago and I remember lining up in those crazy lines to get a table when they first launched. Well worth I say. There are three types of ramen broth to choose from and my personal favourite is the original Tonkotsu, coupled with the hard ramen as is recommended by the servers. The best time to come would be during lunch when they have their combo set which is RM29.90+ for 1 ramen, a side dish or dessert and a glass of green tea. More than worth it for one person. I would always get the pork buns as well for an added treat. Lunch hours may be packed but the service is usually very quick so don't pass up on the lunch hour sets if your see a line, that's the norm usually.

When it comes to Japanese food, my favourite has always been their raw food and hardly any of their cooked-dishes. Hence, I wasn't interested to try out Ippudo even when most of the people I know are going crazy over the ramen. My friends were one of them, so there's no way I could avoid going to the restaurant and I'm glad I said "Yes" to that idea of theirs! Ippudo offers 3 signature ramen to their customers - Classic Shiromaru Ramen (Original broth); Akamaru Ramen (Miso paste and garlic oil); and Karakamen Ramen (Spicy miso paste). Even if your heat tolerance is low, the Karakamen Ramen would be totally "harmless". You don't really taste any spiciness in it but only the extra flavours that came from the miso paste. Apart from the different types of broth, you can choose the hardness of your noodles too: soft, normal, hard, very hard. One special factor about the Ippudo BSC is the outdoor dining/bar concept. They have a full-range bar offering cocktails, whisky, sake, and wine. A perfect place to unwind with friends over a nice meal after a hard dark at work or end of the week.
